About the role As a Power BI Engineer - Senior Consultant , you will make an impact by designing, building, and optimizing scalable data visualization and reporting solutions. You will be a valued member of the Data & Analytics Consulting team, working closely with clients, data engineers, and business stakeholders to turn complex data into actionable insights. In this role, you will: Design and develop end-to-end Power BI solutions , including dashboards, reports, and data models Build and optimize data models using best practices (star schema, fact/dimension design) Develop advanced logic using DAX and Power Query (M) to support business reporting needs Integrate and transform data from multiple sources using ETL/ELT processes Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality analytics solutions Work model We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-4 days a week in a client office in Newark, New Jersey . What you must have to be considered Hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop and Service) Strong expertise in DAX and Power Query (M) Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices Experience with data warehousing (fact/dimension, star schema design) Experience in building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines Strong experience with data integration (APIs, data connectors, integration tools) These will help you succeed Experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud data platforms Consulting or client-facing delivery experience Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions Strong communication skills and stakeholder management Compensation & Benefits The annual salary for this position is between $86,000 - $101,500 , depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
