American Furniture Rental, Inc. seeks a Business Intelligence Developer to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions. Design and develop data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Optimize and maintain existing BI solutions to ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions and process improvements. Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and security to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Understand the decision-making process, workflows, and information needs of stakeholders. Translate business needs into requirements that support stakeholders with required information. Provide technical expertise and support to end-users for troubleshooting, training, and assistance with BI tools and applications. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and analytics. Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support BI activities. Position requires a Masters degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Management (any) or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Masters degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Management (any) or related field of study and three (3) years of experience, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Management (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Applicants must have demonstrated experience with: Microsoft Data Platform, SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos, Snowflake or Tableau; manage projects, test information systems and implementing solutions; analyzing large enterprise level data sets; web data analytics as well as data management and data pipeline; working in Agile with work management tools (JIRA, HP ALM or Azure Devops); Oracle ERP (Cloud and E-Business Suite); PLSQL, SQL and Cloud tools; and overseeing holistic development of end-to-end process of data liaison between different sources using Celonis, PowerBI, Salesforce, Excel and Python.
