Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP DataStage Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-level Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines. In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating seamless data flows between SAP ERP environments (such as SAP ECC or S/4HANA) and our core data warehouses using the IBM InfoSphere DataStage platform. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, SAP functional teams, and database administrators to ensure high-performance data extraction, cleansing, and governance. Key Responsibilities

•

ETL Pipeline Development:

Design, develop, and test complex InfoSphere DataStage parallel jobs and sequences to transport SAP master and transactional data.

•

SAP Integration:

Configure and fine-tune specialized source connections (e.g., SAP Packs, IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs) to pull and push data across SAP ecosystems.

•

Performance Tuning:

Optimize slow-performing ETL architectures by utilizing efficient partitioning methods (Hash, Round Robin) and optimizing DataStage stages (Lookup, Join, Transformer).

•

Orchestration & Automation:

Develop robust DataStage sequence flows, conditional triggers, error-handling routines, and integrate them with enterprise job schedulers like Control-M or ActiveBatch.

•

Data Modeling & Architecture:

Implement ETL/ELT population techniques tailored for relational databases and modern data warehousing models (Star and Snowflake schemas).

•

Production Support & Maintenance:

Monitor production execution logs through DataStage Director, conduct prompt root-cause analysis on job failures, and resolve production bugs.

•

Technical Documentation:

Author detailed Solution Definitions, source-to-target data mappings, and technical design documents outlining business logic transformations. Required Qualifications and Skills

•

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

•

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of dedicated hands-on experience in IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.x preferred) architecture and development.

•

SAP Expertise:

Solid understanding of SAP structures, including extraction of data from SAP application tables, custom Z-tables, and functional modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD).

•

Database & SQL Mastery:

Exceptional SQL programming skills with the ability to write, debug, and trace complex queries across databases like Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.

•

Data Quality Tools:

Familiarity with accompanying IBM Information Server modules like Information Analyzer or QualityStage is a strong plus.

•

Soft Skills:

Outstanding analytical problem-solving skills along with a structured approach to collaborating across technical and non-technical business units

Pay:

From $60.00 per hour
