Sr Salesforce DeveloperLocation:

Denton, Texas (Partial Remote) Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain Salesforce solutions that support university operations. This role involves leading the configuration of standard Salesforce features, developing custom solutions, and creating integrations with other enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development skills, business process analysis expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions in a higher education environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).Conduct business process analysis with stakeholders to design effective, scalable Salesforce solutions.

Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using

REST/SOAP

APIs.

Configure solutions using standard Salesforce features, evaluating configuration-based approaches before custom development.

Administer and configure Salesforce orgs, including security models, profiles, and permission sets.

Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews and post-release support.

Maintain technical documentation for custom development and integrations.

Required QualificationsA minimum of 6 years of Salesforce development experience.

Experience developing on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL).Demonstrated experience building and supporting Salesforce integrations using

REST/SOAP

APIs.

Experience with business process analysis and solution design.

Prior experience working in a higher education environment is a significant advantage.

Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture, governance, and security models.

Proficiency in SQL for querying, data analysis, and data manipulation.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred QualificationsExperience as a Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or Salesforce Solution Architect.

Experience with TargetX or an equivalent higher education CRM platform.

Familiarity with FERPA and other regulations governing student data.

Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud / Education Data Architecture (EDA).Experience integrating Salesforce with a Student Information System (SIS) like Banner, Ellucian Colleague, or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II or Salesforce Administrator.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce.

Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
