Job Summary The Reporting and Process Improvement Analyst is a technically driven individual contributor role within Vistra's Customer Experience Services organization. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining advanced reporting solutions, optimizing business processes, and driving automation across the Customer Experience function and its cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with a strong analytical mindset to transform raw data into actionable intelligence and scalable, repeatable processes. This role operates at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and process optimization — requiring someone who is equally comfortable writing complex queries, building enterprise-grade Power BI solutions, and architecting automation workflows within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. Job Description Reporting & Business Intelligence Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that support Customer Experience Services and cross-functional stakeholders. Gather, organize, cleanse, and structure large datasets from multiple source systems (Snowflake, Oracle, Genesys/SAP, Salesforce) to ensure data integrity and usability within Power BI. Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from enterprise data warehouses and operational systems. Develop and maintain M-Script (Power Query) transformations to organize, shape, and structure data within the Power Platform and Dataverse environments. Build and manage data models that support scalable, performant reporting across large and complex datasets. Establish and enforce data governance standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices for all reporting assets. Process Improvement & Automation Identify, design, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve data quality across Customer Experience workflows. Build and manage Power Automate flows, Dataflows, Workflows, and Solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform to automate routine business processes. Develop and maintain Power Apps (including Canvas and Model-Driven apps) leveraging Dataverse as the backend data layer. Create scalable, well-documented automation solutions that can be maintained and extended by the broader team. Continuously evaluate existing processes and tools for optimization opportunities, recommending and implementing enhancements. Data Integration & Architecture Serve as a technical resource for data integration across platforms including Snowflake, Oracle, Genesys, SAP, and Salesforce. Support the design and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that feed reporting and operational systems. Collaborate with IT and other technical teams to ensure data availability, accuracy, and security. Stakeholder Collaboration & Support Partner with vendor partners, Marketing, Revenue Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated reporting and process solutions. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations. Present findings, recommendations, and solution designs to both technical and non-technical audiences. Provide training and support to end-users on reports, dashboards, and automated processes. Education, Experience & Skill Requirements Experience 5+ years of experience in a reporting, data analytics, business intelligence, or process improvement role. Demonstrated experience building Power BI solutions beyond dashboards — including data modeling, DAX calculations, row-level security, and performance optimization. Proficiency in SQL with experience writing complex queries against enterprise databases (Snowflake, Oracle, or similar). Proficiency in M-Script (Power Query) for data transformation and structuring. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA/macro development, complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling. Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate (Flows, Dataflows, Workflows, Solutions) and Power Apps with Dataverse. Experience working with Salesforce as a data source and/or operational platform. Experience working with Genesys (GCXI) and Genesys WFM platforms. Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets from multiple source systems simultaneously. High school diploma or equivalent Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a data-driven approach to problem solving. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational boundaries. Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
