Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or relevant verifiable work experience; or relevant verifiable work.
Experience :
3+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with a strong and demonstrated understanding of declarative and programmatic coding, including, Flow, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs. The ideal candidate will also have 3+ years of Salesforce Administrator experience.
Critical Action Items:
The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for development, implementation, and ongoing management of our Salesforce platform. This role requires technical collaboration with a small team of developers contributing hands-on to the development process. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Salesforce, strong communication skills, and a passion for driving technological innovation within the organization. 1. Participate in the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce non-profit solutions, including custom applications, automations, and integrations. 2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 3. Apply best practice maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the Salesforce platform, ensuring high availability and performance. 4. Develop and implement best practices for Salesforce development, including coding standards, data governance, testing, and documentation. 5. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality and efficient code. 6. Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices, and incorporate relevant updates into the platform. 7. Coordinate with other peers, extended IT teams, and external vendors to integrate Salesforce with other systems and applications.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience working with a Salesforce development and admin team. 2. Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II, Salesforce Sharing and Visibility Architect are highly desirable. 3. Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices, data security, and governance. 4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically. 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. 6. Ability to work with and protect confidential information required. 7. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. 8. Familiarity with non-profit organizations and their specific Salesforce requirements (e.g., Nonprofit Success Pack and/or Nonprofit Cloud) is advantageous.
