Job Description

Role Title:
Data Governance Consultant (Collibra Certified)
Location:
Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid /Onsite)
Industry:
Banking / Financial Services 6-12 Months+ Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and Collibra Certified Data Governance Consultant to join our Enterprise Data Office in Phoenix. You will be responsible for maturing our enterprise data catalog, establishing data lineage, and implementing data quality frameworks. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technology teams to ensure our data ecosystem remains compliant with financial regulations (e.g., BCBS 239, CCAR, and PCI-DSS).
Key Responsibilities:
Collibra Implementation:
Configure and administer the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud platform, including business glossaries, data dictionaries, reference data, and stewardship operating models.
Metadata & Lineage:
Map critical data elements (CDEs) and design automated technical and business data lineage to support data discovery and trust.
Data Quality Management:
Define, configure, and monitor data quality rules and scorecards within Collibra.
Regulatory Compliance:
Partner with risk and compliance teams to ensure data privacy, security, and ethical AI usage across data sourcing and usage lifecycles.
Stakeholder Enablement:
Conduct training and workshops for Data Stewards and Data Owners to promote data literacy and self-service capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience:
5-8+ years of professional experience in data governance, data management, or metadata management, with at least 3-4 years hands-on with Collibra.
Certifications:
Active Collibra Certified Professional or Collibra Certified Ranger certification required.
Domain Expertise:
Strong understanding of banking data architectures, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements within the financial services sector.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with data warehousing, cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, or Azure), and integrations with BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business users
