ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Chief Information Officer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Chief Information Officer will provide leadership and continued development for the institution's information technology services, while also leading the application development and maintenance using a formal system in development life cycle. This is a highly responsible executive level position reporting to the President of the College and serving on the President's Cabinet. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to integrate both academic and administrative computing/telecommunications resources and services. Strategic, tactical and operational direction are components of this position. This highly professional position requires technical knowledge of computing hardware and software as well as a thorough understanding of the management information needs of a community college.
P OSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required. Masters' degree in Computer Science or Management related field is preferred. Five years' experience implementing application systems and leading implementation teams is required. Application development experience performing systems analysis and programming is required. Experience leading, developing, and evaluation professional and technical staff is required. Experience managing major technology implementations, enterprise systems, infrastructure modernization, or organizational transformation is strongly preferred. PeopleSoft experience required. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Salary Grade 10 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $119,789 - $149,762 BENEFITS
