Job Description

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority is seeking a Vice President of Information Technology to serve as the senior technology leader for the Authority, reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and serving as a member of the senior leadership team. This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight for all information technology, telecommunications, cybersecurity, physical security technologies, and shared-use systems that support operations at Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). The Vice President leads the development and execution of technology initiatives that enhance customer experience, strengthen operational resilience, improve efficiency, and support long-term organizational growth. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; master's degree preferred. Ten or more years of progressive information technology experience, including at least five years in leadership roles.

Ten or more years of progressive information technology experience, including at least five years in leadership roles. Experience within airports, aviation, critical infrastructure, or governmental organizations strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and large-scale technology initiatives. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP, ITIL, PMP, or relevant cloud certifications preferred. Proven success managing budgets, vendor partnerships, strategic technology planning, and high-performing technical teams.
