The DSCS Digital Technologies (DDT) organization is tasked with the mission to pioneer and deploy innovative digital technologies that drive the acquisition, automation and utilization of data to enhance insights, efficiency, and quality of DSCS processes and methods. We are currently seeking a Director, Agentic Business Intelligence Lead (ABI) to lead the strategy, development, and governance of DSCS-wide analytics, data products, and business intelligence capabilities. This role accelerates data-driven decision-making across functions by providing high-value insights, modern BI solutions, and scalable digital platforms. You will define the vision for agentic business intelligence, lead a team of engineers/ analysts, standardize analytics workflows, and partner cross-functionally to ensure data and insights flow seamlessly across the network. The Agentic Business Intelligence Lead will Develop and own the Agentic Business Intelligence Strategy aligned with enterprise digital transformation goals, ensuring capabilities scale with business growth and scientific/technical needs. Design and Implement an organization and DSCS wide GenAI / Agentic AI Framework strategy, that will be used to foster experimentation and learning, while being used for DDT Products. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team; create a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and enable solutions that enable data‑-driven‑ decision making. Translate complex business needs into data-driven solutions; ensure BI solutions support strategic decision‑-making‑ and operational excellence. Develop and Implement strategy for GxP Usage of AI Solutions, partnering with Global Development Quality and stakeholders in Digital Manufacturing Division.
Knowledge, Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Oversee the design, development, delivery, and lifecycle management of agents, dashboards, digital KPIs, agent pipelines, and self-service‑ tools. Act as a digital champion for analytics modernization, digital literacy, and advanced data capabilities. Support standardized analytics frameworks, governance, and quality controls to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and repeatability. Partner with Global Project and Alliance Management, IT, and Digital Product teams to shape data architecture/products supporting AI, ML, predictive analytics, and automation for enablement within the pipeline. Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to leaders across Manufacturing, R D, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Digital Strategy. Represent the BI organization in leadership forums and transformation bodies. Establish BI best practices, including taxonomy, visualization standards, and performance management. Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements. Drive operational excellence by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing BI solutions that reduce waste, harmonize workflows, and improve execution.
Qualifications Education:
Ph.D. with +6 years or B.S. with +8 years required with a concentration in a scientific-related discipline strongly preferred.
Required Experience and Skills:
10+ years of experience across Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Strategy, or Digital Transformation roles. Understanding of GenAI / Agentic AI, and how to build orchestration across multiple agents Experience in pharmaceutical research or manufacturing environments. Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and enterprise stakeholders. Expertise in BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), data modeling, SQL/ETL concepts, and cloud-based‑ data environments. Demonstrated ability to deliver insights in complex scientific, manufacturing, or technical environments. Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with small/large molecule‑ manufacturing, development organizations, or digital enablement programs. Exposure to AI/ML, digital twins, or advanced analytics frameworks.
