Job Description

Chief Technology Officer We are currently seeking a high caliber CTO for a long-term basis within our client's team of experienced professionals. Based in remotely with travel to Arizona as required. We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy, product architecture, and engineering organization. As a core member of the executive team, you will define and drive the technical roadmap for our microgrid solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and innovation. Job Requirements Technology Strategy & Leadership Define and execute the company's technology vision and roadmap aligned with business goals Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team on product direction and innovation Evaluate emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage Product & Platform Development Lead the design and development of microgrid control platforms and energy management systems (EMS) Architect scalable, secure, and resilient systems across hardware, firmware, and cloud layers Oversee integration of solar PV, battery storage, EV infrastructure, and DER assets Engineering & Team Building Build and lead a high-performing, distributed engineering team Establish agile development processes and technical standards Mentor and develop technical leaders within the organization Operations & Execution Ensure successful product delivery from concept through deployment Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align timelines and technical requirements Manage technology budgets and vendor partnerships Compliance, Security & Reliability Ensure compliance with energy regulations and cybersecurity best practices Maintain system reliability for mission-critical deployments
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles Strong background in energy systems, microgrids, or distributed energy resources Experience building and scaling software platforms and hardware-integrated systems Experience leading remote or distributed teams Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, IoT architectures, and data analytics Preferred Experience with energy management systems, SCADA, or grid-edge technologies Knowledge of utility markets and regulatory frameworks Familiarity with AI/ML applications in energy optimization Prior experience in climate tech or sustainability-focused companies Key Competencies Strategic thinking and innovation Hands-on technical leadership Cross-functional collaboration Startup mindset and adaptability •Notice to
