Job Description

The Product Owner + Data Governance Lead is a senior subject matter expert responsible for designing, implementing, and maturing data governance capabilities across Supply Chain data domains. This role translates business and data strategy into actionable governance frameworks that improve data trust, data quality, and the delivery of business insights. The Data Governance Lead plays a critical role in the development and execution of the Supply Chain Data Governance Program, ensuring alignment across business, technology, and analytics teams. The role maintains the integrity of data domains and ownership structures, drives stewardship accountability, and chairs the Supply Chain Data Governance Council. This position is aligned with the Discipline Management organization and supports the objectives of the Product Management team by enabling efficient, consistent, and valuedriven data governance execution. The role reports to the Data Discipline Supervisor and works closely with leaders, delivery teams, and data stewards across the enterprise. Main Skills Strong Product Owner Executive presence with data governance experience. (Mandatory) Supply chain experience Oil and Gas experience. Key Responsibilities Align data governance strategy with Supply Chain business goals, priorities, and value outcomes Lead the rollout, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Data Governance Program across Supply Chain data domains Chair and facilitate the Supply Chain Data Governance Council, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, and documentation of decisions and actions Oversee data steward activities to ensure consistent application of enterprise data governance standards, policies, and operating models Partner with strategic initiatives and programs to embed governance practices into delivery workflows Drive the identification, prioritization, and resolution of critical data quality, data ownership, and accountability issues Ensure Supply Chain data domains are aligned with enterprise data definitions, policies, standards, and architectural guidelines Monitor governance effectiveness through metrics, dashboards, and reporting, and lead continuous improvement initiatives Steward progress and domain health using standardized reporting and performance indicators Advocate for data governance best practices, stewardship, and data literacy across Supply Chain domains Mentor data specialists, analysts, and stewards to build governance capability and domain expertise Foster a culture of data accountability, transparency, and informed decisionmaking
