Laser Programmer $30-$40/hr Decatur, AL Day Shift Monday- Friday Job Description We are seeking an experienced Laser Programmer to support a precision metal fabrication operation that provides high-quality custom sheet metal, welded assemblies, fabricated components, and complex manufactured products. This position involves programming, optimizing, nesting, and supporting laser cutting operations while enhancing efficiency, quality, and throughput on the production floor. The role requires strong programming experience and an understanding of fabrication processes, material utilization, machine capabilities, print interpretation, and manufacturing workflow. Responsibilities Program and optimize TRUMPF laser cutting equipment. Create nests to maximize material utilization and reduce scrap. Generate and modify CNC programs from engineering drawings and CAD files. Review customer prints, specifications, and manufacturing requirements. Support production personnel with program adjustments and troubleshooting. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams. Improve cycle times and increase machine efficiency. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Verify program accuracy prior to production release. Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements. Assist with process development for new products. Maintain programming documentation and revision control. Ensure quality requirements and tolerances are achieved. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
