(TSI) is seeking a skilled Programmer to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing electronic data support for the Farm Service Agency's Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Data Compilation:

Gather information from various database and non-database sources.

Record Preparation:

Develop responsive records primarily in Excel, using data extracted from central databases and prepared files.

Software Proficiency:

Utilize a wide range of software applications, including database connection tools (IMB Informix Connect, Microsoft SQL Server, Hyperion, ODBC, Internet Explorer) and other software (Excel, Toad, FTP, Acrobat, Notepad ++, Textpad, FileZilla).

Mainframe Expertise:

Demonstrate proficiency or a strong aptitude for learning mainframe interrogation and related software (JCL, COBOL, SYNCSORT, ISPF, SQL, TSO, File Aid).

Qualifications:

Strong expertise or the ability to quickly acquire proficiency in the following software applications: EXCEL, Toad, JCL, COBOL, SYNCSORT, ISPF, SQL, TSO, File Aid, IMB Informix Connect, Microsoft SQL Server, Hyperion, ODBC, Internet Explorer, FTP, Acrobat, Textpad, FileZilla, and mainframe interrogation. Proven ability to work effectively with databases and data extraction techniques. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
