Job Description

Client near Kingsburg is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Nesting Programmer to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for nesting and programming a variety of cutting-edge equipment, including flat lasers, waterjets, CNC routers, and tube lasers. We are looking for someone who can either hit the ground running with previous laser shop experience or a highly motivated CAD Drafter/Engineer who is eager to learn and transition into a programming role. Key Responsibilities Create efficient nests and programs for flat lasers, waterjets, CNC routers, and tube lasers. Optimize material utilization and machine run times to ensure efficient production. Work closely with the fabrication and machine shop teams to ensure accurate part creation. Learn and adapt to new software systems, including programming for our new BLM tube laser and transitioning to Bystronic equipment. Qualifications & Skills The Ideal Candidate (Experienced): Direct experience working in a sheet metal, fabrication, or laser shop environment. Strong proficiency in SigmaNest software (ability to step right in and start programming). Previous experience with tube lasers or Bystronic software is a major plus. The Trainable Candidate (Entry-Level/Drafting): Strong background and proficiency in CAD / SolidWorks . A positive attitude, energetic work pace, and a genuine interest in learning machine programming. If you do not have SigmaNest experience but know CAD and are ready to learn, we will train you!

$24.00 to $36.00 per hour, tailored to your experience level.
