The Senior Principal Software Engineer supports the DARC program based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role provides technical expertise in software architecture, development methodologies, system integration, and emerging technologies. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software, and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; Ensures software standards are met. Establish and maintain software development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices. Support Agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical reviews. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field. 5+ years of software engineering experience including enterprise system development. Active DoD Secret clearance at the time of application At least 5 years of experience with C++ At least 2 years of experience with Linux Experience with some form of signal data processing Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
