Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Multi-Axis CNC Machinist to join our diesel motorsports team. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating advanced 4- and 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision components for high-performance diesel engines. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and takes pride in producing top-tier components built to withstand extreme conditions. Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate multi-axis CNC mills (3 thru 5-axis) to produce precision diesel performance components Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications Optimize tool paths, feeds, and speeds for performance, efficiency, and surface finish quality Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet motorsports-level quality standards Collaborate with engineering and performance teams to refine designs for manufacturability Troubleshoot machining issues and continuously improve cycle times and processes Maintain equipment, tooling, and a clean, organized work environment Qualifications 3+ years of experience operating and setting up multi-axis CNC machines Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam & Port Expert), including basic G-code editing Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and high-performance materials Proven ability to efficiently navigate challenging setups and hold tight tolerances in complex geometries Experience in high-performance automotive or motorsports machining preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality What We're Looking For A craftsman's mindset with a passion for performance engineering Problem-solver who takes ownership of quality and efficiency Team player who thrives in a fast-moving, innovation-focused environment Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge diesel motorsports components Be part of a performance-driven team pushing horsepower and durability to the next level Competitive pay based on experience and benefits package, including 3% retirement match.
