Starting Salary:
$53,955.20/Annual ($25.94/Hr.)- Offered salary will be determined by experience, qualifications, and skill set that the candidate brings to the position.
Position Summary & Responsibilities Position Summary:
This position is responsible for a more advanced level of development using Groovy/Grails and Dynamics and other tools for the new Enterprise Application System and for Athena. The position will also be expected to assist in Application Development help desks, report writing, and maintenance to existing applications. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Use prescribed methods and automated tools to modify existing code, test, debug, and document program code for adult offender applications which meet objectives of: Design, cost, and schedule; user and stakeholder requirements; and quality standards. Assist users to resolve reported problems in the adult offender applications Work with users to capture application requirements through meetings, phone calls, emails, etc. and communicate the requirements between the users and the developers. Create project documentation to be used for the project to include requirements documents, use case diagrams, etc. Work with users and staff development to develop training for usage of adult applications. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications :
Successful completion of 18 hours in computer science coursework or certification and one year experience coding, testing, and debugging application programs or two years experience coding, testing, debugging, and documenting application programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of IBM midrange computers and peripherals, and personal computers. Education and/or experience in one or more of the following: Lotus Notes R5/ND6/ND7/LN8.5, iSeries, Java, Web Development, or Groovy.Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements :
