Job Description

Job Title:
NC ProgrammerJob Description As an NC Programmer, you will interpret drawings and models to create programs that utilize modern machining methodologies, work holding and cutter selections, and cutting speeds and feeds to optimize production. Your role ensures that quality parts are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications. You will use software to validate cutting paths, design tooling and holding fixtures, and create production setup documents. Additionally, you will provide shop support during the tool proving process for new and updated programs, offering daily support for problem-solving and process improvements. You will also evaluate and integrate shop machinist feedback into existing programs and processes in a timely manner while participating in continuous improvement activities and applying quality system requirements to work processes. Responsibilities + Interpret drawings and models to create optimized CNC programs. + Use software to validate cutting paths. + Design tooling and holding fixtures. + Create production setup documents. + Provide shop support during tool proving processes. + Evaluate and integrate feedback from shop machinists. + Participate in continuous improvement activities. + Apply quality system requirements to work processes. Essential Skills + 5+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience in precision machining. + Proficiency with
CATIA V5
(NC Manufacturing/prismatic machining workbench). + Experience with VERICUT for simulation and verification. + In-depth knowledge of 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, kinematics, and post-processors. + Strong ability to interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications. + Background in aerospace manufacturing environments. + Proven ability to analyze, maintain, and improve legacy CNC programs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in machining/trimming formed sheet metal parts. + Experience with forming tool/die design or sheet metal tooling concepts. + Expert-level knowledge of CATIA V5 and machine simulation. + Skilled in high-speed machining techniques of aluminum and/or hard metals. + Experience with Makino brand machines preferred. + Knowledge of aerospace inspection processes and FAI documentation requirements. + Knowledge of ITAR and
ISO & QA 9000/9001
