Machine Shop Programmer Lightning Fabrication West Bridgewater, MA Job Details Full-time $1,000 - $1,200 a week 1 day ago Qualifications Blueprint specification interpretation Tooling Manufacturing facility experience Dimensional measurements Attention to detail Precision measurement in machining Milling machines Safety standard operating procedures Equipment adjustment (production tasks) Full Job Description We're looking for a detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to run and monitor CNC machines producing precision metal components. This is a hands-on production role suited to someone who takes pride in consistent, high-quality work. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers according to job specs and blueprints Load raw materials and select appropriate tooling Monitor machine cycles and make minor adjustments to maintain tolerances Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting Maintain accurate production and quality records Follow all safety protocols and keep the work area clean and organized Qualifications 1+ years of experience operating CNC machinery (or completion of a relevant vocational/technical program) Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments Basic understanding of G-code and machine controls Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Nice to Have Experience with multiple machine types (mills, lathes, Swiss-type) Familiarity with CAM software Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing
