Colleague Programmer

Job Description Oakland Community College is seeking a hands-on Colleague Programmer to enhance its Ellucian Colleague systems. This role is ideal for a seasoned developer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions that support the college's mission and operations. As the Technical Lead, you will guide development efforts, provide technical direction, and work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the effective integration and performance of Colleague systems. You'll play a key role in modernizing and maintaining the college's administrative systems, with a focus on innovation, usability, and long-term sustainability.

Compensation:

$37/hr to $41/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application software programming.
• Hands-on experience with Ellucian Colleague development or programming.
• Familiarity with the Ethos integration framework.
• Proficiency in the Envision programming language.
• Experience working in an educational or higher education environment.
• Familiarity with GUI applications.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and management.

Exposure to RESTful APIs for system integration and communication.
