Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Waterjet Programmer / Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating waterjet cutting machines to produce precise components and parts. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Program waterjet cutting machines using CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA to develop accurate cutting paths based on detailed blueprints and schematics. Set up and operate waterjet equipment, ensuring proper calibration, tooling selection, and machine alignment for optimal performance. Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematics, and technical drawings to produce precise parts. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while handling high-pressure waterjets and associated machinery. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly, perform routine maintenance, and optimize machining parameters for efficiency. Collaborate with design engineers using CAD software to modify or improve part designs for manufacturability. Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve workflow, and enhance overall productivity. Qualifications Proven experience as a Waterjet Programmer / Operator with a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar platforms. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and schematic interpretation. Familiarity with CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, CNC programming languages (such as Fanuc), and electrical discharge machining (EDM). Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other mechanical measurement tools. Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, geometry considerations, schematics interpretation, and machine calibration techniques. Ability to work efficiently within lean manufacturing environments while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly.
