Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Welding specialist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will lead the development, optimization, and implementation of welding processes for mechanical and manufacturing projects. Your expertise will drive quality improvements, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the seamless integration of welding techniques into product design and production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge product development while collaborating across cross-functional teams to achieve excellence in manufacturing and system design and offers a ideal Monday to Thursday 40 hour work week schedule with optional overtime often offered on fridays. Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize welding procedures aligned with industry standards such as ASME codes and GDT principles. Conduct root cause analysis on welding defects or failures, implementing corrective actions to enhance process reliability. Design mechanical components using CAD software like SolidWorks and Creo, incorporating 3D modeling for product development and mechanical drafting. Perform tolerance analysis and mechanical detail drawings to ensure precision in machine design and assembly. Collaborate with project teams on scheduling, resource allocation, and project management to meet deadlines for mechanical engineering projects. Utilize simulation tools such as FEA and MATLAB to evaluate structural integrity and system performance under various conditions. Support manufacturing operations by providing schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical guidance for machine design and system integration. Engage in cross-functional communication with design engineering, manufacturing teams, and quality assurance to maintain high standards of mechanical product development. Experience Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing role with a focus on welding processes or mechanical product development. Proficiency with CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and building information modeling (BIM) tools for mechanical design and 3D modeling. Hands-on experience with CAD drafting Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles related to machine design, mechanical detail drawings, structural analysis using FEA tools, and adherence to ASME standards. Experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing setting with a focus on projects involving manufacturing processes or product development.
