  • $25 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Fabrication Construction drawing review Attention to detail Organizational skills Collaboration with manufacturing teams Computer skills Production records Manufacturing company experience Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Programmer The Programmer plays a key role in the fabrication process by preparing and programming digital files for the production of quartz, granite, marble, porcelain, and other countertop materials.
This position is responsible for reviewing job specifications, creating accurate machine programs, and ensuring each project is properly prepared for fabrication according to The Countertop Shop's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review job drawings, measurements, digital templates, and production specifications for accuracy.
  • Program countertop pieces for CNC, saw, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Verify dimensions, cutouts, edge details, seams, and other job specifications prior to production.
  • Create and optimize slab layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize waste.
  • Identify potential issues or discrepancies in job files before materials enter production.
  • Make necessary programming adjustments based on material, equipment, and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate digital files and job information throughout the production process.
  • Communicate with CAD, scheduling, fabrication, and other production team members to resolve questions and keep jobs moving efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot minor programming issues and communicate larger concerns to management.
  • Monitor programmed jobs to help ensure finished pieces meet required specifications.
  • Follow company production procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist with other production and shop duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • CAD/CAM, CNC
    programming, manufacturing, countertop, or related experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, templates, and production specifications accurately.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn countertop programming and production software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production and office teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
