Job Description

Overview Provides technical support to Cherokee Nation departments by installing or modifying hardware, software, peripherals, and upgrades. Troubleshoots and repairs reported computer problems. Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Database Management; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional six months related experience is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation Underwriting rating.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess an in depth knowledge of typical computer computer software packages such as MS Windows XP or Later and MS Office 2003 or later. Must also have an in depth knowledge of common computer hardware problems.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and climb or balance.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
