Job Description

Job Overview Our client seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laser Weld Operator/Programmer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining laser welding equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in robotics, tooling, and manufacturing processes will drive efficiency and precision in our production lines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced laser welding technology, automation systems, and lean manufacturing principles to deliver exceptional results. Your proactive approach and technical skills will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot laser welding machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality output. Program laser welders using robot programming techniques, integrating Kuka or similar robotic systems for automated operations. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute welding tasks aligned with specifications. Conduct root cause analysis on process issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize defects and downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of production activities, machine settings, and inspection results for quality control purposes. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design, machining processes, and system upgrades using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in the calibration of vision inspection systems and distributed control systems. Experience Proven experience operating laser welding equipment within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of robot programming, particularly with Kuka or similar robotic systems used in automation. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of schematics, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly techniques. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), vision inspection systems, and distributed control systems (DCS). Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions quickly. Knowledge of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus for maintaining compliance in regulated environments. Join us in pushing the boundaries of manufacturing technology! Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
