Name Eglin AFB Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Computer Scientist supporting theAFLCMC/EBU AMRAAM
Development Program at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The selected candidate will provide advanced analytical, scientific, and technical expertise in support of modeling, simulation, algorithm development, and complex software systems used in weapons system development and acquisition. This role requires deep experience in applying mathematical, statistical, and engineering principles to the development, testing, analysis, and evaluation of advanced software and computational models supporting mission-critical systems. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Provide analytical, scientific, and technical support to government leadership, scientists, engineers, and program teams supporting AMRAAM development activities Develop, analyze, and evaluate algorithms, models, and simulations to support system design, testing, and performance assessment Apply advanced mathematical, statistical, and operations research techniques to solve complex engineering and software problems Support modeling and simulation activities across the system lifecycle, including development, integration, test, and evaluation Develop and maintain computer software programs, including common instructions, routines, and subroutines used across multiple systems Conduct feasibility analyses of advanced software and hardware approaches, including evaluation of emerging technologies and their impact on existing systems and networks Initiate, formulate, and execute plans and projects involving specialized performance analysis and original technical evaluation Provide technical input to acquisition documentation, technical reviews, and program decision-making forums Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting software, IT, and communications systems within the AMRAAM programQualifications Citizenship:

Bachelor of Science (BS) in an ABET-accredited computer science programYears of Experience:
15 yearsRelevant Experience Preferred Qualifications Education:
Master of Science (MS) in an ABET-accredited computer science program + 10 years Relevant Experience, OR Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in an ABET-accredited computer science program + 5 years Relevant Experience Technical Skills Advanced software development and algorithm design Modeling and simulation techniques Mathematical and statistical analysis Operations research methods Software architecture and system integration Performance analysis and evaluation Feasibility analysis of advanced software/hardware solutions Complex system analysis for computer, IT, and communications systems Development of reusable software components (instructions, routines, subroutines) Interpersonal Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Effective collaboration in multidisciplinary IPT environments Ability to work independently on complex, ambiguous technical problems Professional judgment and decision-making in support of senior leadershipAdditional Information Location:
