RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide timely Help Desk and technical support to hospital staff through ticketing and phone-based support requests. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues, gathering information for escalation when needed. Maintain and document support requests, resolutions, desktop inventory, and software licensing compliance. Create and manage user accounts and access within Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Imprivata, and other supported systems. Collaborate with IT team members, vendors, and hospital departments to ensure reliable technology services and excellent customer support.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree from an accredited institution or two years of experience in a technical support or related role. Experience with Microsoft products and desktop support in a professional environment.
Working knowledge of networking protocols and information systems troubleshooting. Experience supporting server-based systems and Windows Server environments is preferred. Experience with CPSI or a comparable Hospital Information System (HIS) is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a commitment to responsive, professional support. Excellent attention to detail, documentation practices, and the ability to produce quality work in a timely manner.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (or 25% of body weight, whichever is less), walk and stand for extended periods, and perform activities such as stooping and sitting throughout the workday. ENVIRONMENTThe South Peninsula Hospital is a combined 22-bed Acute Care Critical Access Hospital and 28-bed Long Term Care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula in South-Central Alaska. The role requires frequent interaction with hospital staff, physicians, and technology vendors while supporting critical business and patient care systems. Working hours may occasionally fluctuate based on operational and project needs.
