Full Job Description Overview:

Responsibilities:
Provides support for USA Health's devices, networks, applications, security and other equipment; Works as a team member on IT projects; Installs application software; Assists in software/hardware problem identification and resolution and provides end user training; Participates in IT project planning by recommending technical solutions, process changes, and training needs; Works with IT vendors to ensure effective use of applications, products and support; Maintains accurate and timely documentation to meet project reporting requirements; Escalates unresolved issues to next level of support or supervisor; Tracks, routes and redirects problems to correct resources; Follows-up with end users to ensure issues or projects are resolved; Maintains knowledge of USA Health applications and devices; Seeks educational opportunities in Electronic Health Records, IT Security, Microsoft products, and Dell Products; Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards Regular and prompt attendance Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required Related duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama with an IT focus and 1 year IT experience. Required Bachelor's Degree in a related field will substitute for the required experience. and IT experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Required Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Electronic Health Records such as Cerner and Athena Health is preferred.
