About the Role This is our bench — where the real technical work happens. You'll handle desktop and laptop diagnostics, repairs, and builds for a steady stream of residential and small business clients. You'll own the client relationship through the entire repair cycle — intake conversations, status updates by phone or email, and face-to-face delivery when the job is done. You'll back up our front line technician during peak hours, helping field client intake when the shop gets busy. You'll also occasionally step into networking, security camera installations, and community training, and every once in a while build a custom gaming rig. It's skilled, hands-on work with real people at the center of it. What You Bring Proven experience diagnosing and repairing desktops and laptops — personal or professional Strong working knowledge of Windows and Apple hardware and operating systems Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients Comfortable managing client expectations through phone, email, and in-person interactions Ability to work methodically through hardware and software problems Comfortable handling multiple repairs and priorities simultaneously A professional, personable demeanor — this role is as relational as it is technical What We Offer Hourly base pay plus a percentage of bench sales — your efficiency and quality directly impact your earnings A well-equipped shop and a supportive team Exposure to networking, security systems, and business technology A clear path to 2nd and 3rd level support roles Relaxed but professional work environment Active community involvement — we support local nonprofits and show up for our neighbors What to Expect Diagnose, repair, and return desktops and laptops efficiently and accurately Manage client communication from intake through completion — phone, email, and face-to-face Back up front line support staff during peak client hours Occasional custom PC builds, networking installs, and security camera deployments Participate in community training events as needed Represent our values in every interaction with clients and teammates We're not looking for someone who just clocks in and clocks out.
