The Computer Technician II installs, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers. Maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity. May perform system setups for new hires. Essential Functions
- Identifies computer problems and asks questions to determine the root cause and how to resolve it.
- Manages Information Technology (IT) Help Desk tickets in Summit's ticketing system and documents all work related to troubleshooting and resolving those tickets.
- Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
- Maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity.
- Performs system setups for new hires.
- Installs operating systems and software.
- Installs cables and terminates/tests.
- Installs, diagnoses and repairs phone equipment, network switches and printers.
- Supports the maintenance of the telecom equipment.
- Supports mobile devices such as tablets, cell phones etc.
- Supports network security cameras.
- Conducts user training when necessary. Other Duties
- Will participate in an on-call rotation schedule, which will require being available after normal business hours during your rotation.
- Participates in departmental and association wide informational meetings and inservices, including staff meetings, association wide forums, and seminars.

- This position requires knowledge of general office equipment (including the nurse call system, telephone system, fax machine, copy machine, computer, and commonly used hospital programs) as well as excellent computer, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, supervisory, interpersonal skills, basic math skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- This position also requires knowledge of hospital equipment and programs, including all Hospital Information Systems and department specific equipment.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced technical computer skills.
