Job Description

Under direction of the Information Technology (IT) Manager, the IT Support Specialist II maintains responsibility for providing intermediate to advanced technical support, network administration, web services management, and information assurance. This role expands beyond desk-side support to include network infrastructure, web content management, and systems security. PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Hardware Support and Desktop Maintenance Supporting Skills  Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Igualdad De Oportunidades Empleador/Programas Se le Hará Disponible Cuando Solicite Ayuda Auxiliar Y Servicios Adicionales Para Personas Con Incapacidades.  Diagnose and replace standard components; escalate complex hardware issues to the IT Manager.  Assist with equipment setup, inventory tracking, and IT asset management.  Support imaging and deployment of workstations using organizational tools and procedures.  Track and document hardware errors and resolutions. 2. Provide Technical Support for Internal and External Clients Supporting Skills  Provide immediate technical support to users by telephone, in person, or via remote tools.  Prepare and perform technology orientations for new employees, partners, and interns.  Advise users about proper functioning of equipment and use of self- help instructions and manuals.  Develop self-help instructions and knowledge-base articles for staff to assist with technology.  Instruct users in corrective actions to ensure productivity.  Train interns about YPIC hardware, software, IT processes, and technology tools.  Document and track support tickets; analyze recurring issues and propose systemic solutions. 3. Install, Configure, and Maintain Software Packages and Including Proprietary Software Supporting Skills  Install and customize software packages according to product specifications.  Download and distribute software updates.  Track and correct any software errors and find solutions to prevent systems malfunctioning.  Modify software as required to meet user requirements.  Configure/ master operating system images for each system type.  Create and transfer user profiles.  Create backups of new and existing systems.
