Purpose of Your Job Position:
To maintain operational functioning and inventory of Information Technology systems, programs, hardware and software. To assist staff with needs regarding IT support, ordering, in-service.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field Certification as IT Technician preferred (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) 3 years' experience preferred as IT Technician or relevant position Must communicate effectively in English both written and orally

Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems, Hardware, Software Monitor activities on core systems to ensure that the systems are operating according to equipment specification and are used appropriately; implement solutions and/or make appropriate referrals for all system difficulties Evaluate hardware and software products and programming languages to determine the applicability to the network system Troubleshoot all hardware and software difficulties and messages for staff as requested via ticketing system and bring to resolution timely. Isolate and troubleshoot software and hardware with the Operations Manager for any cyberattack. Assist with LAN/WAN technologies, computer repair/troubleshooting software, networks, virus protection, Wi-Fi technology, and more Set up, configure, and troubleshoot VOIP phone systems, including office desk phones and soft phone applications. Ensure the smooth operation and reliability of voice communication systems across the organization. Assist leadership in evaluating the use of information technology as it relates to each particular operational area on a quarterly basis; create and implement strategic solutions based on findings Installation & Testing Equipment/Software Install and maintain all hardware and software in regard to its physical quality and license Installation and testing of computer operating systems Assist the Operations Manager to install, test, and monitor firewalls, and new software Install, test and diagnose printers, copiers and fax machines Vendors Work effectively with third-party vendor to resolve any difficulties or systems errors that may occur immediately upon notification Preventative Maintenance & inventory Organize routine accumulation of statistical information; report it to the Operations Manager monthly or more frequently if requested Maintain an inventory of all software, hardware, and IT Peripherals Assists the Operations Manager in maintaining hardware and software according to PCI-DSS regulations. Teamwork & Staffing Support Collaborate with other IT staff and leadership to support various locations and departments with IT all systems. Assists HR Department and Operations Manager with on-boarding and off-boarding of employees with IT needs. Assists department managers with staff in-servicing on IT policies and procedures. Emergences and Safety Assist the Operations Manager in the management of IT systems in the midst of a disaster Be knowledgeable and follow all safety procedures and other regulations established in the employee handbook and other policies. Other Adheres to professional dress code that reflects the mission of Carmelite Sisters with excellent grooming and appearance. Attend all meetings and in-services required by position or through Administration request Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Able to sit for long periods of time and input computer data. Ability to stoop and crawl in small spaces, including the ability to access and inspect networking equipment and perform hands-on repairs in tight spaces, such as under desks, in MPOE rooms, vaults or attic roofs. Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds

$36.00 - $40.00 per hour
