Digital Radiology/Medical Imaging Support Specialist, 3+ years of digital radiography experience Medicatech USA Anaheim, CA Job Details Full-time From $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Customer retention Equipment troubleshooting IT infrastructure Hardware support IT Associate's degree Account management Full Job Description Overview The Digital Radiology/Medical Imaging Support Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for customer support, technical troubleshooting, and account coordination across MTU's network of healthcare providers, dealers, installers, and imaging professionals. This role combines customer relationship management with hands-on technical support for digital radiography systems, PACS environments, imaging software, and connected medical devices. The ideal candidate possesses strong radiology or healthcare technology experience and is comfortable supporting digital imaging workflows, software connectivity, networking, and remote troubleshooting. Candidates should be highly organized, technically proficient, customer-focused, and able to communicate effectively with clinical staff, technicians, and healthcare administrators. Core Responsibilities Customer Communication & Account Support Serve as the primary communication liaison between MTU and healthcare customers, dealers, installers, and end-users. Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, technical support requests, and service-related concerns. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term account success. Assist with quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and customer documentation in coordination with finance and operations teams. Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, support tickets, escalations, and technical resolutions. Coordinate communication between customers and internal departments, including Technical Support, Engineering, Sales, and Operations. Monitor customer support trends and recommend process improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Medical Imaging & Technical Support Provide first-line technical support for digital radiography systems, PACS platforms, Cloud PACS environments, and imaging software applications. Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, networking, and workflow-related issues in radiographic and medical imaging environments. Support customers with DR panels, X-ray acquisition software, DICOM communication, imaging workflow integration, and remote system connectivity. Assist users remotely using TeamViewer and other remote support platforms. Coordinate escalated technical issues with internal engineering teams and third-party vendors. Support software setup, onboarding, workflow configuration, and end-user training for imaging systems and associated applications. Maintain accurate records of support activities, issue resolution, troubleshooting steps, and follow-up communication. Assist with basic IT support functions, including: Network connectivity troubleshooting Windows workstation support Software license configuration and transfer VPN and remote access support TCP/IP and local network troubleshooting System configuration and software installation Assist in identifying recurring technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Imaging Systems & Workflow Support Support radiographic imaging workflows in medical, chiropractic, veterinary, and healthcare environments. Assist customers with PACS workflow optimization, image transfer troubleshooting, and software usability support. Help ensure imaging systems function efficiently in clinical environments. Maintain familiarity with digital imaging standards, including DICOM workflows and imaging storage systems. Support integration and communication between imaging equipment, workstations, and software platforms. CRM & Data Management Maintain accurate customer, order, and support data within CRM and ticketing systems. Assist management with CRM process development, automations, and workflow optimization. Track customer support cases from initiation through resolution and follow-up. Generate support performance reports and recurring issue summaries for management review. Assist with dealer account coordination, contract support, and lead tracking initiatives. Customer Support Optimization Assist in implementing AI-driven customer support tools, automated workflows, and self-service resources. Help streamline internal support procedures and response processes. Support the development of troubleshooting documentation, FAQs, training guides, and onboarding materials. Ensure timely, accurate, and professional resolution of customer concerns across all communication channels. Skills & Competencies Strong medical imaging and technical troubleshooting skills Knowledge of digital radiography systems and imaging workflows Familiarity with PACS, Cloud PACS, DICOM, and radiographic software environments Understanding of healthcare technology systems and connected medical devices Experience with remote support tools such as TeamViewer Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users Strong organizational, multitasking, and documentation abilities Experience using CRM systems, ticketing platforms, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Qualifications Required Qualifications Associate's degree minimum required (Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Healthcare IT, Radiologic Technology, or related field) 3+ years of experience in digital radiography systems and imaging workflows Experience providing remote software or hardware troubleshooting support Strong customer service and communication experience Preferred Qualifications Experience working in radiology, chiropractic, veterinary, or medical imaging environments Experience supporting digital X-ray systems, DR panels, or imaging software Familiarity with PACS, Cloud PACS, DICOM, and imaging workflow systems Basic networking and IT infrastructure troubleshooting experience Experience with healthcare technology integration and connected medical devices Experience with imaging software platforms such as Voyance or similar systems CompTIA A+, Network+, or related IT certifications preferred Radiologic Technology or Healthcare IT background preferred
