Role Summary The Senior Application Engineer will lead the design, development, and integration of critical business applications in Fontana, California. This role is central to building and enhancing warehouse and supply chain systems, ensuring seamless connectivity between internal platforms and external partners. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with the ability to collaborate closely with operations teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions. Key Responsibilities + Design, develop, and maintain application solutions supporting warehouse and operational workflows + Lead system integrations between internal platforms and external customer systems + Develop and manage APIs, data integrations, and transformation processes + Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and reporting + Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions + Lead or support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements + Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues, identifying root causes and long-term solutions + Drive improvements in system functionality, performance, and scalability + Document system architecture, workflows, and technical processes + Support multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to shifting priorities Compensation & Benefits + $125,000 - $135,000 + Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage + 401(k) with company match + Flexible spending accounts and employee assistance programs + Parental leave and additional employee benefits Additional Details + 3 days x week onsite in Carson or Fontana + Opportunity to work across multiple locations within the organization + High-impact role working closely with senior IT leadership + Fast-paced environment with strong collaboration across teams Requirements Required Qualifications + 5+ years of experience in application engineering or software development + Strong experience with APIs, XML, and system integrations + Proficiency in SQL, including stored procedures and data manipulation + Experience with application development frameworks such as .NET + Proven background in warehouse management systems or supply chain technologies + Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions + Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills + Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) + Experience with warehouse or logistics automation systems + Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., business intelligence platforms) + Exposure to cloud-based environments or modern architecture patterns + Experience working in high-volume, operationally complex environments + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
