A Help Desk Technician or Analyst provides technical support to computer users. Handles customer inquiries and works to resolve technical issues with computer hardware, software or networks. Provides customer support by phone, email, live chat or with screen sharing. May refer customers with complex system or application problems for more advanced technical support. Tracks help requests using a ticketing system.

Job Description

Computer Technician

Fremont, California, United States Description

Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies

Scan components serial number into the manufacturing shop floor system for tracking purpose

Perform equipment maintenance tasks (Burn-In Cable, Test Cable, repairs, etc.), where applicable.

Operates test equipment, testers, scanner equipment, computer, etc.

Repair computer hardware and servers as required

Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary

Requirements

High school or college diploma

Electronic or computer industry experience

Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions, production orders and all other documentation used to control processes, know how to handle hand tools and light power tools.

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, solid communication skills both verbal and written.

Able to stand for long periods of time, able to input data into a computer and work with computer screen for long periods of time.

Standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, bending, squat, reaching with hands and arms.

Lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
