McFarland, CA General Summary Serve as the 2nd tier point of contact for technical support. Under general supervision, learn and perform a variety of operational duties related to maintaining and supporting the Company's information technology systems Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond to and resolve more difficult Help Desk tickets Perform configuration changes, upgrades and maintenance to a variety of devices (laptops, desktop, etc) Troubleshoot and resolve Help Desk tickets efficiently, and provide end-user assistance where needed Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets (including peripherals and networking equipment) Perform repairs and replace equipment as needed Follow-up with users to ensure tickets are resolved Provide user training for common IT tasks & procedures Maintain documentation on troubleshooting techniques, common issues, procedures, and best practices Support IT Managers for on-going projects Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely completion Provide guidance and support for Level 1 technicians Maintain general cleanliness of work area and shared spaces Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 2 years experience working in a technical support or Help Desk role Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred Industry certifications including CompTIA A+ preferred Comprehensive understanding of Windows & MacOS operating systems Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Apps (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneDrive, Teams, etc) Solid fundamentals in computer hardware & software troubleshooting Mathematical ability to calculate basic arithmetic problems without the aid of a calculator Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas Ability to effectively read and understand information contained in memos, reports, and bulletins Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and technical documentation with accuracy Effective time management skills to meet deadlines Dependable, adaptable, and punctual Willingness to complete IT certifications Valid California Class C driver's license with a good driving record Physical Demands Demonstrated sufficient dexterity of hands, arms, and fingers to be able to perform the principal responsibilities of the job to use required computer, tools, and equipment Ability to bend, push, pull, and repeatedly lift up to 20lbs Environment Work will be performed in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to varying environmental conditions. The position also involves exposure to typical computer and paper related noises. Work schedule may vary depending on severity or demand of Help Desk tickets Hours and Workdays 8:00AM- 5:00PM, Monday- Friday; Flexibility to work earlier hours or occasional Saturdays may be required depending on seasonal needs
