Job Description

The City of Menlo Park's Information Technology team is seeking a temporary IT Specialist who has a broad range of support skills to provide day to day computer/desktop support, end-point configuration and management, helpdesk support and management, and maintain and troubleshoot various systems hardware, software, peripherals, A/V, telephones and mobile devices. Support to be provided onsite throughout the City at physical workstations, as well as via phone, video, email and internet. This is an hourly, at-will, part-time (non-benefited) position offering valuable experience in information technology and public service.

A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by college-level coursework and/or training in information systems, computer science, or related field.

Two (2) years of experience providing technical support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of information systems and infrastructure.
BenefitsSalaryInformation Technology Specialist I:
$40.09 - $48.73 per hourThese are non-benefited, temporary positions. A temporary employee may not work more than 1,000 hours per year and will receive sick leave in accordance with State law.
