Position Overview West Valley Music is seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented team member to assist customers and support store operations. This role combines customer service, sales, and administrative responsibilities in a busy music retail environment serving students, parents, and local school music programs. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly, enjoys helping people, and is eager to learn about instruments beyond their own. All new hires complete a 90-day training and evaluation period , with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position for the right candidate . What We're Looking ForCustomer Service & Sales Friendly and professional communication with students, parents, and teachers Ability to explain products and guide customers toward appropriate solutions Comfortable recommending accessories and services Ability to remain calm and helpful when resolving customer concerns Musical Knowledge Must play a band or orchestra instrument Willingness to learn about instruments beyond your own Ability to speak confidently about instruments after training Administrative & Technology Skills Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail and Google Sheets required) Comfortable learning internal systems for: School order quoting Repair intake documentation Repair scheduling Strong attention to detail when entering or communicating information Professional Qualities Well spoken and organized Reliable and punctual Strong common-sense problem solving Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy retail environment Driving Requirement Valid driver's license Clean driving record required Comfortable making occasional local deliveries Responsibilities Assist customers with instrument rentals, sales, accessories, and product questions Provide knowledgeable and professional guidance to students and parents Process transactions using our POS system Intake instruments for repair and document issues clearly in writing Communicate repair concerns to technicians Assist with school order quotes Help manage repair scheduling Maintain store organization and displays Complete occasional local deliveries

From $21.00 per hour
