QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, basic mathematics; and the general needs and behavior of adolescents. Must possess the skill to train in the maintenance and operation of computer equipment; understand and perform various routines and procedures related to computer equipment; perform a variety of clerical work, including typing, and making service calls; maintain classroom demeanor and student behavior; understand and follow oral and written directions; verbally communicate in an effective and tactful manner; establish and maintain cooperative and effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties. Applicant must be familiar with computer equipment. General clerical experience is necessary, and work involving the supervision of high school age students is desirable. Completion of twelfth grade is required, preferably supplemented by college level courses.
CERTIFICATION OF DISTRICT PROFICIENCY IN THE AREAS OF BASIC READING, WRITING AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED . ONE OF THE FOLLOWING MAY BE SUBMITTED IN PLACE OF THE DISTRICT PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE. DIPLOMA FROM A REGIONALLY ACCREDITED CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL AFTER JANUARY 1, 1981

PROOF OF SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE CBEST TEST POSSESSION OF A VALID CALIFORNIA TEACHING CREDENTIAL A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT. DUTIES OF POSITION
Under general supervision, responsible for the operation of the computer-assisted instructional courses; assist teachers in scheduling, evaluating, and instructing students on terminals. Employees in this job classification will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of computer equipment as well as performing a wide variety of instructional duties; make reports to teachers and counselors; workshop training sessions with computer consultants which are required in order to familiarize and update instructional assistance with operational and maintenance routines, new computer curriculum, and instructional techniques.

$3,112.22 (monthly)
