Job Description

Overview:
D451 Instrumentation Services is seeking a Management Systems Coordinator to support D451 as well as other engineering departments that utilize various data acquisition systems and information systems to provide shipyard test and troubleshooting support. The successful candidate will be responsible for network administration, implementation of security requirements, and user support/troubleshooting for classified and unclassified computer-based data acquisition systems. Regular maintenance includes performance of weekly audits and antivirus definition updates, installation of security patches and firmware, update of security plans, and support of internal and external audits for these systems. The candidate must be capable of evaluating and installing security-related software such as antivirus and encryption. Other tasks to be performed include modification of operating system settings for compliance with security requirements and resolving network issues. The successful candidate will regularly interface with engineers and technicians within the department, other system administrators, EB security, and the US Navy as part of carrying out these duties.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems and/or 2+ years of level 2 desktop support experience and/or 2+ years of desktop/network support and repair technician expeirence. Experience with manipulation of settings within Microsoft Windows operating systems Experience administering Windows Active Directory, various networking topologies, and group policy Experience effectively using Microsoft Office suite to generate reports, maintain system logs, and maintain procedures Must have the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Security clearance
Preferred Experience:
Experience managing and executing upgrades of IT systems and infrastructure is highly desired Experience with Cisco networking and/or certification is highly desired Experience as tier 2 or 3 IT/network support is desired Experience/knowledge related to Linux operating systems is beneficial as well Experience/knowledge related to virtualization Experience with
