Location:
Killingly Public Schools IT Technician Full-time IT Technician position to act as a standard, primary point of contact for technology-related issues and inquiries for district employees. This position will build a rapport with the building administration and staff to ensure a positive working relationship and clear lines of communication between IT and the assigned location(s). The position also ensures user compliance with IT procedures and policies and configures and deploys devices and educational software for use by administrators, educators, and students within the district. Using a combination of standard procedures, best practices, and problem-solving techniques, technicians seek to provide accurate and meaningful solutions for district clients. The position is 37.5 hours per week, 12 months per year with benefits. The hourly rate is $23.31 We're looking for a technician with:
  • Two years of experience in an Information Technology role, preferably in education.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, MacOS, iOS, and ChromeOS operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (including the ability to write documentation).
  • Basic networking and/or telecom experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, or other electronics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge or keen interest in Audio/Visual systems a plus.
