Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily technical support of desktop computers, mobile devices, software, and miscellaneous hardware throughout the school district. The candidate is expected to meet IT department standards by providing high-quality, timely support to district users. The Desktop Support Specialist will be available for district-wide support as directed by administrators. Performance Requirements Install, configure, and upgrade classroom technology, including Windows/Mac/Chrome OS-based workstations, printers, audio, and video projection equipment, and other network devices. Work with a Helpdesk ticket system to provide effective, timely troubleshooting, repair, software installation, and support for classroom-deployed IT assets throughout the district. Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting of computer and network issues requiring a basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS. Ensures deployed IT assets conform to District Security Policies. Works effectively as a team member, sharing information and resources, and participates in the development and implementation of IT procedures and policies. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with technical cohorts, teachers, administrators, and outside vendors. Manages multiple responsibilities in a timely manner and adapts to changing priorities. Able to assimilate new knowledge quickly and effectively. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Network Manager and Director of Curriculum and Instructional Technology. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree, A+ Certification, or equivalent experience preferred Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Working knowledge of the use and troubleshooting of Windows, OS X, iOS, Chrome operating systems, and Google Suite for Education.
