Candidates will need to possess good knowledge of the broadcast industry, have excellent communication skills, and can work calmly under pressure and be able to talk about technical issues around broadcast, IT and networking. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following: The Primary responsibility is maintaining the operational status of client Sports Group's infrastructure and provide 24/7/365 days a year on-site support along with some travel. Desktop support, local apps support, troubleshooting issues associated with network, local servers, printers, remote access, and file shares. Travel to support on-location broadcast sporting events both domestically and internationally. Responsible for the analysis, segmentation, isolation and resolution or implementation of client service needs. High level of experience with Apple OS X, Microsoft Windows (desktop/server); Linux/Unix a plus Escalate to the appropriate group when the clients' needs are beyond the scope of this position Become familiar with each department and their respective applications. Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment. Follow standard operating procedures; accurately log all tickets using the defined tracking software. Other duties as assigned by the Support Desk Manager.Working knowledge of networking concepts:
TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANS, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and Firewalls is highly preferredGeneral Requirements:
Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office for support, reporting and documentation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to provide technical support over the phone, good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired. Good problem-solving skills, ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it. Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise professionalism during stressful situations. Ability to think around problems and come up with creative solutions Ability to work with or without direct supervision. Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications. Valid Driver's license is requiredEducation/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university 1-3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Pay:
