•Position Description Do you want to be part of U.S. Navy Research and Development team working offshore on research vessels and ashore in fabrication and test facilities? TMG has an exciting opportunity for a full time Machinist/Fabricator to support the Navy in Fort Lauderdale, FL at NAVSEA's South Florida Ocean Measurement Research, Development, Testing, & Evaluation facility. The Fabricator/Machinist supports underwater test equipment construction and maintenance, underwater and shore assets, marine vehicles, small watercraft, equipment maintenance and operations. Preventative and environmental corrosion control and maintenance is a must.
IT Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and VOIP phones. Configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network devices to maintain connectivity. Researching and developing solutions to issues that arise as part of daily operations. Installing and configuring network hardware and software. Maintaining and implementing network security measures, executing period backups, and performing disaster recovery as needed. Configuring and maintaining storage, file systems, and property inventory. Creating system documentation and diagrams for all network changes and assigned projects. Develop and deliver briefings and technical presentations communicating network status and changes. Working knowledge and current experience with PL2 and PL3 networks; must be familiar with DoW Policy implementing network and system administration. Working in a Hyper-V environment to help maintain and manage network servers. Working with datacenter network technology including Nexus switches and vPC. Maintaining changes involving firewalls, routers, switches, TACLANES, Solarwinds, GEM One, Hyper-V.
