This Desktop Service and Support role is ideal for candidates with hands-on IT troubleshooting experience who enjoy working in the field, supporting end users, and helping technology run smoothly in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity offers valuable field technician experience, steady hours as the project ramps up, and significant overtime potential. IT Technicians will work as part of a coordinated support team across multiple local sites, with clear direction, team collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to important community-facing operations. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite IT support at various election-related sites throughout Broward County. Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues for end users and site operations. Set up, test, support, and maintain desktop equipment and related technology. Respond to technical support requests in the field, with some help desk-style responsibilities. Travel between assigned local sites as needed to resolve issues and support project needs. Lift, move, and position IT equipment while standing or working for extended periods.
Compensation and Benefits Pay:
$22.00 per hour.
Contract duration:
Expected to run 8 to 10+ weeks.
Location:
Onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with travel to different election sites in Broward County.
Schedule:
Typical hours are approximately 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, though hours may vary based on project needs. Hours may start lighter initially, then increase to a minimum of 40 hours per week. Significant overtime opportunities are expected. - Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half. Must be flexible and available for extended hours, evenings, and weekends as needed. Some shifts may begin as early as 5:00 AM and extend through approximately 9:00 PM. Weekend availability is required for both days. Mileage and gas reimbursement provided for travel to local sites.
