Job Description

IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY
The IT Support Specialist role will be responsible for interfacing and fielding end user requests. They will be the first contact for end users in relation to the help desk and will identify the needs of the end user and solve the problem or escalate to senior staff. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for all basic IT administrative tasks and will also provide all basic onsite support for all IMG Enterprises locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide first tier support for all end user requests including hardware, software, computer systems and properly field issues for escalation Provide both onsite support and remote support to all organizational locations statewide. Travel to remote locations at least once per week in company vehicle Provide computer support by troubleshooting and correcting problems on all end-user computing equipment issued by the department Will handle the purchasing of IT hardware and managing Purchase Order system with Central Inventory, and bank reconciliation/coding with Accounting Organize and manage equipment for checkout. Manage the inventory of IT hardware, ordering when supplies are low, proper labeling of devices and inventory and management of company hardware via supporting systems Responsible for onboarding and termination of users. This includes new account creation/deletion, hardware issued/repossessed, computer system setup and more May be responsible for running Ethernet cable and installing various hardware such as radio systems for PtP networks and Access Points Responsible for setting up and managing conference room Audio/Video Works with supervisors to help implement new/needed internal systems Ensures internal ticketing system is updated with daily tickets opened, follow-up tickets opened, and knowledge base up-to-date Stay current with new computer technology and understand how these relate to ongoing problems and strategic planning
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma required. AA Degree in Information Systems or higher, Computer Science or related field is preferred. One or more years of IT desktop support experience is preferred Knowledge in Windows operating system (Windows 10 & above). Linux & Mac OS knowledge is a plus Knowledge in Google Workspace environment, including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Docs Knowledge in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, etc. Basic report building and dashboarding skills are a plus Good at documentation and inventory keeping Proficient at using research tools to find information to solve problems autonomously Basic knowledge in A/V for conference rooms and teleconferencing Basic proficiency with network hardware, switches, modems and access points is expected Strong communication skills to interact with users Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively Innovative problem solving, research and analytical skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle
HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per work week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. Walking and standing for short periods of time. Occasional bending, lifting and carrying of objects. May work in an outdoor setting as required.
