Job Description

IT Engineer-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years)#26-22801 Juno Beach, FL Onsite Job Description GEP Smart Product Support Engineer Role Overview We are seeking an experienced GEP Smart Product Support Engineer to support the Source-toPay Transformation Program through project delivery and extended Hypercare across all client Business Units. This role requires deep understanding of a dual-system procurement landscape where Inventoried Materials procurement is managed in SAP S/4HANA, while Indirect Materials and all Services procurement are managed in GEP Smart. Documents, master data, and financial transactions flow bidirectionally between SAP and GEP via integration middleware (SAP Process Orchestration and GEP Click), with SAP serving as the system of record for all financial data including Invoices. Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and resolve GEP Smart production incidents for Materials and Services procurement — including Service POs, Service Confirmations, Vendor Catalogs, approval workflows, and user access
  • Trace and troubleshoot cross-system transaction failures end-to-end across SAP Process Orchestration and GEP Click middleware, identifying where document flows break down between GEP and SAP
  • Support Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) in GEP, including contract creation, approval workflows, amendments, and renewals, and assist with the migration and conversion of legacy contracts from SAP SRM to GEP, ensuring data integrity, field mapping accuracy, and business continuity throughout the transition
  • Coordinate with SAP functional teams on issues where GEP-originated transactions (Service POs, Service Confirmations, e-invoicing) fail to post correctly in SAP for invoice processing and financial reconciliation, given SAP is the system of record for all financial data
  • Monitor and support master data interfaces between GEP and SAP — including supplier records, service/material masters, cost centers, and purchasing org structures — troubleshooting sync failures and mismatches that cause downstream procurement or invoicing errors
  • Apply lessons learnt to proactively identify recurring issue patterns and implement preventive measures before they impact production
  • Support BU-specific GEP tenant configurations — approval hierarchies, notification templates, roles, and permissions — that vary across Business Units
  • Execute SIT, regression, and UAT test cycles for product features, BU-specific configurations, and integration touchpoints across the SAP-GEP landscape
  • Support GEP Spend Analytics data validation across BU hierarchies
  • Partner with the scrum masters and workstream leads to manage the GEP support backlog and participate in sprint ceremonies Required Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on GEP Smart experience across Materials Procurement, Services Procurement, Source-to-Contract, and Spend Analytics modules
  • Proven experience supporting GEP in a hybrid GEP procurement landscape, with clear understanding of document flows and system-of-record boundaries
  • Experience with GEP Click and familiarity with other integration middleware such as SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO) and the ability to trace and troubleshoot cross-system transaction failures
  • Strong understanding of Service PO and Service Confirmation workflows and in GEP and how they integrate with SAP for invoice posting and financial reconciliation
  • Experience supporting master data interfaces between GEP and SAP, including supplier, material/service, and org structure data
  • Experience in defect and backlog tracking tools such as Jira or ServiceNow Preferred Qualifications
  • Utility or energy industry experience
  • Agile/SAFe delivery model experience
