Job Description

An IT Technician for a charter school manages and supports all technology, including computers, networks, and user accounts. Key responsibilities include daily technical support, device maintenance, and network security. Daily Tasks and Support Fix hardware and software problems for staff and students. Set up new computers, tablets, and smart boards. Reset passwords and manage user accounts in the school system. Answer tech help requests quickly during the school day. Network and Security Keep the school internet and Wi-Fi safe and working well. Make regular backups of important school data. Block unsafe websites to keep students safe online. Install updates on all school devices. Skills and Qualifications Know how to use Windows, Mac, and Chromebook systems. Understand basic school network setups and Wi-Fi. Have good patience and communication skills for working with teachers and children. Hold a high school diploma or a college degree in a tech field. •Additional responsibilities would be assigned by the Principal.•
