JOB SUMMARY
The IT End User Device Technician is responsible for general maintenance and repairs on end user devices (i.e. desktops, laptops, thin clients, mobile devices, telephones, printers, audio visual equipment). Provides support for all hardware and software installation and maintenance and designated devices. Routinely rounds through assigned areas to proactively identify and resolve issues. Willingness to obtain CompTIA certifications upon hire if not already completed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for moves, adds, and changes, for assigned devices and areas.
  • Maintains devices and facilitates updates, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Provides audio visual support for meetings as requested.
  • Provides proactive support by rounding and meeting with end users on a routine basis.
  • Provides outstanding customer service to our customers and maintains positive relationships with other employees and contractors.
  • Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, and team-oriented environment, while displaying a problem-solving orientation to issues daily.
  • Troubleshoots identified issues, solves end user problems, enhances, and optimizes devices.
  • Participates in ongoing support and maintenance of existing systems and devices. Performs after-hours maintenance as required.
  • Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation for assigned systems.
  • Provides on-call coverage as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Identifies and escalates production-critical issues to appropriate IT personnel.
  • Uses ticketing system to log and monitor tickets.
  • Participates in projects as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Evaluates and corrects issues involving configuration of devices.
  • Participates in Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
This position will report daily to the NCH Business Office in Naples, Florida. This is not a remote position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of a High School/GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of formal education or college beyond high school required OR CompTIA OR Microsoft certification in place of college required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant IT or Healthcare experience in end user support required.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Windows, Apple iOS, and Android devices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Accurate with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under own initiative / self-motivated.
  • Experience with information technology optimization.
  • Dexterity to learn new systems and programs rapidly.
  • Must keep current on industry trends.
  • Must have the ability to work nights and weekends as needed to support the business.
  • Must have the ability to travel between locations.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Visio).
